Food Film Series: The Garden

Loving Spoonful and the Kingston Community Gardens Network present: The Garden.

The Garden is about the South Central Farmers, a group of poor Los Angelenos who took a track of urban ruin and turned it into an Eden–only to see the flora they so lovingly planted and tended be bulldozed by a selfish land owner. This film is about their dignity, determination and their fight to preserve their garden–and what they’ve done to recover from its loss.

Thursday, January 27 at 7:00 pm.
Located at Watson Hall, Rm. 217 @ Queens’ Campus.

Our wishlist includes: large pots, pans, chopping and prep knives, cutlery, hand blenders, ladels, measuring cups, wide-mouth funnels, tea towels, dish clothes, aprons, bib aprons, wooden spoons, instant read cooking thermometers, oven mitts, pot holders, cutting boards (of all materials), plastic and steel prep bowls, mixing bowls, garlic presses, graters, baking sheets, mashers, plastic cups, plates, and bowls. We are happy to accept all donations of new or used kitchen tools and supplies in good condition.
